@ Kestnuts, try replacing all of your self-preserving defensive skills - Ripostes, Endure Pain, Vigorous Spirit et al; with the single "Watch Yourself!". Then use your bar to do what Warriors do best - kill shit. You're contributing significant defense to the entire party with "WY!" alone (~25% damage reduction, if memory serves me), taking plenty of pressure off your monks.
By packing the rest of your bar with attack skills and attack-enhancing skills like [skill=text]Flail[/skill] and [skill=text]"For Great Justice!"[/skill], you relieve even more pressure off the team by tearing enemies to shreds. This is Guild Wars, where Warriors kill stuffs gud.

How about I post my whole build here so you guys can take a look? Can I just paste the template code, or do I have to do something special to get all the pretty pictures for my skills in my post?

to get the pictures to show you type in [ skill ]dragon slash[ /skill ] except without the spaces in the []. [skill]dragon slash[/skill] If you are still unsure quote my message and look at where the image is and you will see.
To the OP, I went W/Me secondary when I started because I wanted to be a warrior and a coworker told me mesmers own. But I think most people go W/Mo because they think they have to do everything on their own or if they are able to wrap their brains around the fact that the game is balanced around team they don't trust their team and think they have to bring a bunch of crap skills to make up for other people or h/h.

A typical Wammo Build I use is:
[skill]sever artery[/skill][skill]gash[/skill][skill]sun and moon slash[/skill][skill]power attack[/skill][skill]warrior's endurance[/skill][skill]"for great justice!"[/skill][skill]strength of honor[/skill][skill]restore life[/skill]
Attributes:
10 Smiting Prayers
11 Strength
14 Swordsmanship
1 Point Left (which I usually put in Healing Prayers)
I personally don't like conjures in PvE as they have a very high chance of being removed, with Strength Of Honor I don't have to wait sill 45 seconds.

Would Like Comments on My build, If it sucks say so. I don't use this anymore I throw it in just for kicks sometimes tho

DarkGanni, why Warrior's Endurance with only 1 energy attack ?
Won't it be much better to just drop power attack for Flail and take, say, crippling slash or ds as elite ?

I picked w/mo because it lets me heal myself and mending is useful
when I made my first war he was a war/ele and died over 1,000 times
simply put war/monk best fits for the first guild wars

mending is useful. rly? How do you die as a warrior ele... I mean mending gets stripped just as fast as conjure does. And with one your inflicting substantially more damage, with the other, mediocre healing.

Why do so many choose W/Mo for their profession?
|
Because new players have no idea what they're doing and by the time they figure out that being /mo doesn't let them have amazing heals it's too late and have to wait till ascention to fix their mistake. The only reason you'd ever need to go /mo is as support for prot and never on a warrior because well monks can keep you alive much better than you can keep yourself alive.

I've done a W/N once or twice, it was fun. I much prefer my necro primary. Once again, I chose monk for the secondary though...at the time I was thinking of healing minions, didn't work so well. As soon as I get him ascended I'm switching his secondary to mesmer.

Indeed. When I made my war, first thing I could think was the Paladin class from Diablo 2 and stick with the above "reasonment" xD
Ahah, good old times :P

If my facts are right....
W/Mo's used to dominate in HA with Healing hands, before it was made elite. It was probably viewed as a serious build. HH was then made elite. I'm guessin after the build became junk, people still continued to use it and encouraged new players to go W/Mo, and it carried all the way upto this day.

This isn't that much of a concern to me.
It's more pressing to realize that so many people have this strange fascination that Warriors should play defensively while Elementalists should play offensively when it should be the other way around.

I made mine up because of how bad the henchies were at the time as playing my Monk through the game first and seeing it.I just used /Mo for the hard res. and a condition remover.I will confess though I did (past tense) use mending and life vic.It wasn't easy to play Warrior in the past as I thought.
I swear on Balthazar I don't do this anymore just a condition removeral and hard res.

This went on even though it wa an elite sword Warriors don't need one so they used The Paladin build which dominated the halls for 6 to 9 months something like that 8 of them.

honestly, my first char(s) were wars with monk. why? as stated above:
Warrior=high damage, low skill req (smash and slash)
Monk= self healing, "invulnerability" (stay alive longer)
so therefore, W/Mo has to equal invincible, easy to use damage dealer. Easy noob mistake (the way I was thinking it, not the way they can be tanks)
Edit: I def agree that Warriors should be offensive weapons, but Ele's should be too, depending on situation. Ele's are flexible in that regards, but Warriors are better at what they do (they are an extreme, where an Ele can lean to one side or the other, but not be 100% there like a warrior can).
